Cymeed,

I am not sure, it may or may not have something to do with the recent weakness. They need to continue to do business so this news around the cable show is not surprising. Tempted to add under 55 but this is already my largest holding by far so I am just riding this out. This may very well be options related.

According to Henry both SFA and GIC violate Gemstar's IPR in the analog and digital boxes. Gemstar's IP portfolio is powerful. Companies such as Microsoft and AOL do not pay Henry's fee demands without good cause. A 25-33% cut is a nice slice of the multimedia gateway for the next millenium. This promises to be interesting and hopefully profitable. Obviously, my money is riding the Gemstar horse.

Regards
Stew
