Mike,

I just had an interesting thought. A little over a year ago I remember "easy Al" testifying that by keeping the Fed Funds rate steady in the face of falling inflation the Fed was in fact tightening because the "real" Fed Funds rate was higher.

Now, year over year CPI is rising slightly, so even if he were to take back all of the interest rate cuts from last year's financial system bailout, money would still be looser than it was prior.

Things that make you say hmmn!
