I don't think I'll buy your MM-stocking-up idea, Kelly. First, if MM's are continuously stocking up, they become major holders of the company. Then, if you look at ETPI's past record and potential problems if profit again is impeded, would you choose to carry major ETPI stock inventory? The inventory is worthless without 'real' (non-MM) buyers.

And then you suggest "a good drop of the bid/ask to below book value might do it". The value of MM inventory would take quite a hit. Why (as a MM) would you have been building inventory when you could get the same shares later at 10-30 percent less? Not a good business decision!

No, I think EPTI has proven too risky even for the MMs. If I were MM, my inventory would be as low as I could get away with and still fulfill my market-making responsibilities. There are lots of other companies with far greater short-term promise. (Remember that MM's are NOT in for the long-term; that's an investor's role.) Further, the recent volume drought shows that daytraders, as well as MMs, have shelved this stock.
