There are two issues here: (1) whether the tech should have been looking out of mere curiousity through a customer's files; and (2) what the tech should have done after finding the bad stuff. It's clear that the tech was dead wrong to go snooping. Should the tech have reported what was found? That action is tougher to criticize, and may have been correct. I do worry, tho, when I see people make looney equations between underage sex and murder to justify what usually turns out to be an agenda of repression. Remember, the more fanatically right-wing the politician, the more likely he is to be found with prostitutes or choirboys.
