Bill, i have revised my personal BK time table on the back of the CPI report. previously, i expected a sharp break going into the july cycle low, but due to the market's shift in psychology this has now changed (see reply #17823 on the MDA thread for my reasoning). we have another stab at the BK in the light of the highly successful Puetz indicator by the end of july. (details at the bottom of the sentiment page at homestead.com. should that one also fail, i am targeting the aptly named fall for the BK, in the light of Y2K looming and a likely belated reaction to higher rates. note that past manias have often entered their final blow-off stage after a Fed tightening - both '29 and '87 are examples. i expect this time around to be no different and my guess is that the mother of all blow-offs awaits before the party is over. regards, hb
