I will still pay more to be able to do business locally. If I have a problem I want to be able to see someone face to face and get it resolved. I had a nightmare experience myself with E-trade. Saving commissions means nothing if you can't get your trades executed and get decent service. Check your local banks. Many of them are providing discount brokerage and online sites for trading. A little more expensive but everything is a tradeoff.
