"Ever think about the massive power of 7 million online account holders, or the not insignificant power of 60,000 plus SI members?"
Your post is compelling. It was a story I love to hear.
I was reacting to the negative sentiments usually expressed toward "DAY TRADERS". Last evening an acquaintance at dinner said "you DAY TRADERS are ruining the market!" This was of course someone who wasn't even in the market except for his mutual funds! ( I do not consider myself a Day TRADER! I have a core long holding and trade in a separate account ) I do, however, believe that DAY TRADERS should do whatever they want to do. My theory was that just the DAY Traders alone could not have a huge impact but now that I read your post my opinion has been updated. I believe SI can have an impact and they SHOULD. I have over 30 years in financial services (Big NY Banks) and I could not be more pleased about "our level playing field!" Hooray for SI! Democracy for the investor!
GoodDay!
