Stan, I am in NC and quite familiar with Wachovia. I think they are a nice bank too. (My Dad in SC doesn't though; after a bad experience with them, he now refers to Wachovia as "Walkoverya.") They are not lying to you, but they may not be fully grokking the situation or what you are saying to them. I asked my broker to make sure my shares were there in my name. He said, "Of course they are here and they are yours." And he faxed me an interim statement to show the shares in my account. I said "ARE THEY *REALLY THERE??? If so, you should have no problem just sending them right along to me." That was when the true situation came to light. ie, they were credited to my accounts, but the TA had not sent the certs, and still hasn't-- even in the face of repeated requests. Give 'em hell, Tar Heel.. -Madly
