Bob, thanks for the update. << ...lack of sufficient furnace capacity has slowed down the process...>> I'm glad it's that and not gremlins in the electrowinning steps, which I imagine could be a nastier headache.
<< Progress is apparently being made in the alternate process: the leach/precipitation method. It appears the onion peeling hasn't finished. >>
I was hoping that not much more progress was necessary in this department. The 5/25 NR states:

"In that the yield was below our current level, direction was given to continue to develop this new method until the recovery rate had increased to normal levels. We have now completed our R & D on this leach/precipitation method. The yields in the lab are over 10 oz. per ton. Pilot plant tests will be conducted starting May 24."

Do you know what was meant by "pilot plant tests"? Perhaps in addition to furnacing problems some of the furnace capacity was being redirected to testing pours of leachate-based dore'? Or was this being shipped as-is to Sabin for their tests? As I recall, anode sludge was about five times (?) more concentrated than the new-improved leachate...(anyone remember this?)...

If we do make a shipment next week, even if only 40% of the 1000#, to me that would indicate that an important milestone had been passed.

Scott
