Denison Mines receives good drill results at White Rose oil field Denison Mines Ltd DEN Shares issued 317,871,201 Jun 11 close $0.145 Mon 14 Jun 99 News Release Mr. E. Peter Farmer reports Denison Mines Limited and its partners have achieved successful drilling results at the White Rose L-08 appraisal well in the Jeanne d'Arc Basin. The well encountered over 100 metres of net oil pay in the Avalon sandstone formation. Coring, logging and flow testing operations show an extensive, clean reservoir with improved porosity and permeability, compared with the expectations based on previous wells at White Rose. The White Rose field is approximately 350 kilometres off the east coast of Newfoundland and about 50 kilometres east of the Hibernia field. The White Rose L-08 well is about two kilometres south of the E-09 discovery well. Denison has a 3.8-per-cent interest and Husky Oil is the operator. The other working interest owners in the White Rose L-08 well are Husky Oil 71.2 per cent, Petro-Canada 17.5 per cent, and Norsk Hydro Canada Oil and Gas 7.5 per cent.
