Actually yes. At summer camp they still get to shoot those old .22s you probably shot. There camps where you can send your children to shoot.

It is all about responsibility. My kids are very young. They have been to the ranges with me, pistol, skeet, target and sporting clays. My oldest, 6, has, with my hands on the gun, shot my .22 at cans.

The responsible thing to do is show them what the guns do, the tremendous responsibility associated with owning one and the proper storage and care of the weapons.

Notice I said responsible alot? Well that's what it takes and that is what is missing in America right now. It starts at the top with Comrade Klinton and goes through most of his cabinet.

But I digress, yes the scouts still allow shooting. It is a wonderful program filled with excellent memories. Let me ask you a question. Did you know a few years ago in the summer olympics the USA won a gold medal that received virtually no press? You guessed it, one of our female shooters won and it was not in any major paper. What a disservice to a huge highlight in that young ladies life. What a shame...
