- I worked at a networking firm - and saw CSCO push all sorts of "SPIFS" at the salesmen to push their product line

- whereas with Microsoft, it's bread & butter products sell quite nicely without much effort

- also, with CSCO, you have 3COM & others that can compete on price - and that could narrow CSCO's margins

- whereas MSFT's margins are just fantastic

- given that they CSCO's p/e is like twice as high as MSFT's, I can't see CSCO being a better buy
