gemsearcher, You profess to already know with certainty the "market perception" of the news release, and that the share price will drop on Monday, based on your opinion of what other's expectations were regarding the news release.....once the news is digested and considered, I think "market perception" will be positive.....Monday will probably surprise most people by the strength of the share price(with additional support by disappointed short sellers), given the improvement in grade, average value and stone size distribution of Pit#4 over Pit#1. Also, by late July, shareholders can look forward to results from pit#3 located next to the higher grade pit#2; and a report indicating there are now a minimum of 10 million tonnes in the proven category and another 30 to 40 million tonnes in the drill indicated category. Anyone who thinks the market perception will be negative is likely going to be in for a surprise:-)) Is your perception biased or clouded or perhaps skewed by your short position or intentions of establishing a short position?.....good luck is all I can say.....in the past, traders have been beaten about about 9 times out of ten on this play.....at at this juncture, I wouldn't be surprised to see real institutional buying start to come in from the US, Toronto and Europe that the first half of the bulk sample has confirmed "in spades" the initial results..... regards, teevee PS: note that the six stones >10 carats were evaluated by all seven evaluators as "specials"....no doubt this is where the bulk of the value is and confirms that this deposit is a huge source of large gem diamond with an extremely high percentage of gem in that size category, CONTRARY to Kaiser's assessment that Winspear got lucky....and the best is yet to come from pit#3:-)) Interestingly, this suggests to me that the large size category of crystals have a different parentage from the rest of the population and are likely from a deeper source area in the upper mantle.....gemsearcher, I suggest you re-think your position and consider going long on Monday morning:-) |
