Monica Detwiler vs. just a trader

<RayW-baby - "WinNT servers do not use FPU". Your knowledge of
servers is adequate, but barely. I suggest you brush up on Citrix
Systems and their WinFRAME product. It runs on Windows NT
SERVER Edition, and allows multiuser sessions to be hosted ON THE
SERVER, running NT applications software. NC clients, attached to the
SERVER, receive screen updates from the Server, which performs all
the applications processing.>

Young lady-student, go back to class and study carefully. The product
you are so exited about is from the deep past, architecturally
20 years old. Only completely under-educated customer like you
would buy this kind of centralized solution. Today the bandwidth
of local bus is not enough (AGP:-)) to update screen in modern
applications, and you are telling us about "screen updates" via
network.
Are you talking about application like a VT100 terminal
messaging or what? Ever heard about VT100? Did you ever personally
try to compare performance of any remotely executed application with
the same application on a local PC? Even if it runs remotely on
hi-end SGI or HP? Even with 100Mbod connection?
I strongly suggest:
go back to class and study carefully about
distributed and centralized computing. And
please, no comments about MY writing comprehension.

<Hence, the SERVER not only runs WINDOWS NT which is indeed
integer based (as are most operating systems), but it also runs all
the NT
applications, including any and all that make use of Floating Point
Operations. Spreadsheets, databases, and CAD programs, all of which
employ FPU operations, perform just fine on the SERVER, requiring no
FPU support on the NC client.>

Every idea in your post is wrong. The only one
modification would make some sense: <requiring no FPU support on
the NC client ..POWERED BY CHEARER K6 PROCESSOR>. That is the point
you are unable to comprehend. Maybe today, when you feel some
relief from Intel stock, you will realize that for every server
there must be at least 20 NCs.

Best wishes in your studies,

- Ali
