JRH - Thanks for the post. My problem is I guess that what I though was plug and play...just isn't. It's plug, don't play but aggravate instead. I don't have 100s of Negabytes to back up maybe a couple of hundred and manyof those are caused by Winfax which seems to creat loads of Megabytes just for simple things. I've been thinking of using SanDisks but I wanted one backup medium and maybe the new mini drives will do the trick. They don't have to be as tough as SanDisks and they can stay at home nice and quite and I don't care how much power they consume because I'm in the quite and tranquil home environment. Still th Zip is very dissapointing. It worked on my old Toshiba but not on this new one!! Who are HiVal? Best regards, L
