Dear Mr. Noglows,
I have been following the re-birth of Ampex as an internet video, content and storage company for the last six months and believe that the story is just too compelling to ignore.
"Ampex Corporation is a holding company focusing on the acquisition, storage and processing of visual information. Since its founding in 1944, Ampex has been granted thousands of patents, 11 Emmys, one Oscar, and numerous other awards for technical achievements in electronic imaging."
"The Company, through its subsidiaries, strategic investments and internal projects, is further expanding in image-based markets by building an early presence in Internet video."
"The Company has web-video affiliates in the Los Angeles and the Washington, D.C. areas, and is constructing additional web-video production and distribution facilities in New York City and Los Angeles. Ampex's strategy is to increase the range, content and quality of its video offerings over the world wide web in line with future increases in the availability of high-speed Internet access."
