Elmo, PMFJI re: earnings....

Elmo:

The Standard & Poor Earnings Guide for May, 1996, shows a mean EPS estimate for Novell of minus 1 cent; the high estimate is 26 cents (I bet one analyst didn't hear that Novell sold WordPerfect to Corel and is changing inventory accounting methods) and the low estimate is minus 15 cents. 15 analysts provided estimates.

Your broker can provide you with a copy of the S&P Earnings Guide. It's *very* helpful.

All Novell has to report is greater than zero EPS and the company's "beaten street estimates" with a positive earnings surprise.

Using this, calcs say that Novell will have earned between plus 5 cents and plus 7 cents per share in the 2nd quarter. If correct, the stockprice should bounce upward several points on Wednesday and Thursday of this week (5/29 and 5/30).

IMHO Elmo <but then again, we all knew what we were doing when we went
this far right?, <grin>>

Joe...<let's see what happens, I'm in it just as deep as you are>
