To JungleInvestor and Thean of the SEV thread: Softcom has developed a "Gigablade" that accomplishes the same task for $10,000 that would otherwise require a $100,000 card from Cisco and a $200,000 card from Nortel to do the same job. There might be a connection between Softcom and SIII through Gilder. I will continue to research these matters. Please let me know if you find out anything of interest regarding developments at SIII.
