Thanks for the observations...Certain people were starting to write as if sustaining casualties were the big test of one's importance in the war effort. The point, folks, is to kill the enemy, and it is even better to break his will with as little destruction as possible. In the final analysis, had it not been for Lend- Lease, the war might not have continued long enough for us to enter. For that alone, America deserves a great deal of credit. But, as I have already outlined, our entry was very important too...
