I have never had to call Microsoft for help!!! And although their OS is a piece of #$%^&, Redhat's does not even load properly. You say I need to buy another $90 Application to get the XWindow working.

I agree that this part of the Linux install sucks. Fortunately I didn't have any problems here as the monitor I have available for that machine was one that was listed in the Xfree setup. If yours isn't, you can program a custom setup using scan rates and such from your monitor's manual but I wouldn't wish it upon you.

IMHO, the Linux install is far beyond the average computer user. At least with Red Hat 6.0 you don't have to manually assign disk partitions and sizes anymore.
