True enough.

Not to defend him purposely, but how many times have we seen "political teammates" do such, to help the other? I'm not saying it's right, only that it happens. Personally, I view such speeches as "have to's" and don't put much stock in them. Besides, I forget the time frame of that speech - how candid had Clinton been at the time?? [For that matter, how candid has Clinton been to date? It's beyond me that he seems to think the public is that naive.]

Your point about both Gore and GB have silver-spooned backgrounds is true too.
