This is addressed to everyone writing during the last week:
I have never read this thread before and I am aghast at all the
backbiting and hatefulness I have read tonight. If I thought being a
Christian meant acting in this way I would just as soon be an
Unbeliever.
Actually I have always believed that what I do in my life is
between me and God and no one on this earth has the right or obli-
gation to judge me or ridicule me in front of others. If I have sinned it becomes my obligation to name that sin to the Father (In Heaven, not a priest) for forgiveness.
Bringing other peoples sins to a public forum, whether in front of a congregation at church or on the WWW only causes those who hear the sin repeated to have mental attitude sins concerning both the person who sinned and those accusing them. Jealousy, bitterness, vindictiveness, and hatefulness just to name a few. This causes a snowballing effect of sins and pleases Satan very much. He must be having a good time reading all of this garbage coming from the minds of Christians. Just the way he planned it!
I was always taught that "If you can't say something nice about a person, just don't say anything at all". I agree with the person who wrote tonight saying we weren't setting a very good example for any unbeliever who might happen to stumble onto this thread as I did tonight. Please, get back to what I thought was probably the original premise of this thread, which would be to glorify God in all that we do and SAY.
I hope to catch this thread some other day and find a more uplifting theme.

In His Matchless Grace,

Julann
