Jim, Re: This is where Gateway outfoxed DELL. By buying K6-2s they got in line for the K7. All DELL will be able to do is get P-IIIs at a special price...oops, there goes the Intel margins... Sigh. You should learn more about Dell's model. When K7 based system is mature(if it will) and profitable, Dell will get in and I am sure AMD would be more than happy to offer them whatever price they want. Remember, it is the market that Dell is in which K7 is targetting, the high margin corporate market. The reason that Dell is an Intel only shop is because that is the only thing that is profitable, not because any love/hate or whatever reason. Business is business and MD is definitely good at that.
