Gee, why is it that the police, a mostly Christian, working class group of people who used to pretty staunchly support the NRA, have come out publicly in against it in many communities in recent years? Could it be because they are outgunned, and that this is a change from the past?

And what about that horrific bank robbery awhile back in Los Angeles where they were so outgunned that they actually had to go to a GUN STORE to get better weapons? I believe that was the robbery that was a copycat version of the movie "Heat".

I liked nihil's answer because it sounded scientific. As you know, I am not scientifically oriented, so I cannot really expound further.

Now why do you need to buy more than a gun a month, or have an assault weapon in your home? Didn't even Elizabeth Dole say you don't need an Uzi to defend your family?
