Elizabeth Dole has the Secret Service to protect her family. And they sure 'nuff have Uzis, or the equivalent.

If L.R.R. had dozens of Secret Service agents armed with Uzis sworn to protect his family's life with their lives, he might agree that he personally didn't need an Uzi himself. But I doubt the SS is looking after him.

If it's right for ED to have Uzi-toting gunmen to defend her family, why isn't it right for L.R.R. to have the same weaponry to defend his family?

Or is ED going to set the principle by demanding that all her defenders give up any weapons she doesn't want the average American to have, and limit themselves to what is legal for L.R.R. to own?
