Particularly for newbies, and dual bootsters, Costco has a very good deal on MacMillan Linux, which is Mandrake 6.0 (tweaked RedHat 6.0 for Pentiums) with all the cool GUI stuff, drag and drop printing, click on the floppy/CDR, manual AND Partition Magic in a shrink wrapped box for $24.99. You can't beat that.

I don't know about elsewhere, but at the Costco in Novato Ca., there were three stacks of 'em on the corner of the software table. They must be selling quite a few.
