Iomega's CD-RW product is a Watershed Event.

They are now having to resort to pure-commodity products to stay in business. Jodie know this to be true. The object is to try and stabilize Iomega's cash flow. An Iomega CD-RW drive's Revenues may be able to make up a lot of the Revenues that Jaz did until it was cancelled.

But the profit margins will be razor thin compared to Jaz. This event is a watershed because it signals that Iomega Management sees the end of Zip and Jaz within sight. They might even have internal timetable estimates as to how sales will decrease.

I am now convinced that IOM will see $1 and $2 stock prices within a year. In fact, hopefully IOM will pop up above $5 a share sometime in anticipation of Comdex/3rd/4thQ hype. I will short the hell out of it.
