Well, I guess nobody noticed the Loanworks commercial on TV. Or should I say, that NDE is an internet company offering a useful, valuble service of getting a mortgage on line with a three minute approval time. Since my last note in April, the story has changed. Eloan will not get done and the 1-1.5 billion market cap that I thought would propel nde into the 20s ain't gonna happen. However, I understand from one analyst that whole sale mortgage growth is 60% per month sequentially! Retail mortgates just started selling in May and are strong. Lastly, this analyst told me he is now getting calls from internet mutual funds interested in NDE. Let's see. De-reit is the new strategy, a takeout at a multiple of book 2-3x in let's say 18 months could be a nice exit strategy for Mr. Perry with his new stock options. $11 book value. 9% dividend through year end. Should earn c $1.30 in 2000. How about a pairs trade? Short Amazon and buy NDE!!!
