Ooops, the egg broke, flinging yolk around my living room.
I was talking with a friend of mine about various investments. I told him a little about AIRP, then pulled out the package from IR. We put an egg in it and he wound up and threw it as hard as he could at my brick fireplace. The egg yolk splashed across the room. Splat!
No doubt about it, it was a mighty throw. I had failed in my quest to break the egg, but he got it on the first try. Postmortem investigation showed that the inner polyethylene bag burst under pressure. The pressure bulge was about 1.5" across. It appears that the sudden deflation allowed the egg to hit hard, rapidly scrambling the yolk and the whites together, and breaking the shell into small pieces.
So now we know that the AirBox is not entirely indestructible, though I didn't use it exactly according to the instructions. A cardboard outer container might have prevented the burst, and would certainly have reduced the range of the egg yolk spray.
