Slow down here Jeffery... need to get some facts straight first and here they are:

1) So what if Paul Allen is a X2 fan... why is he getting rid of the company??? Just another Paul Allen poor investement. Look att history and it tells you the only successful company he was invloved in was MS. The way I hear it, he practically is giving the company away.

2) As for Hayes... not competitive at all. Go to the stores and check out prices. Highest of them all with the worst features. Buying Cardinal just allows them to hedge their bets... big deal, will soon be forgotten. They have NO OEM business. BOCI does.

3) As for that OEM business, most of it is with Rockwell--worldwide.

4) Hotcakes. No I don't think so. 56K is slow to start. Need someone other than a few AOL lines to connect to. Store buyers are being very carefull with the amount of 56K inventory tha each store has. Returns have been very high.

5) What pooch? Rockwell has more than 100 customers. Do you think they really screw the pooch? Not. BTW it wasn't a chip (silicon) issue, but a software one that is easily fixed. The BOCI units are flash which means a simple EEPROM blow.

6) Running to X2? At this stage? No way. You have been following the X2 PR machine and buying off on it too much. X2 has it's share of issues also, but USR does publisize them. What they are is an excellent PR machine if anything else.

I don't mean to be harsh, but that is the most unfactual post I have read in a while. I know it is just opinion, but so is mine with a little more logic behind it.
