Grace - I have to respectfully disagree. This is the equivalent of the camel's nose in the tent.

Like all advertising and promotional activities, it usually begins with some research - test groups, focus groups, etc., that have apparently given SI the idea that not enough people would object to it to make it revenue negative vs. the $$ they get from the sponsor.

My problem with it is that Datek is getting information, and I'm confident they're not going to be satisfied with spending their money just to know how many hits come to them or how many views are taken.

IMO, too many people on SI are way too free with information about themselves and their investments - and now we have an on-line brokerage house (at least one that we know of so far) getting data about SI users and their investment opinions.

I think Pandora's box has been opened.
