as i understood the term, and you will note in the post to which you are responding that i myself recognize that i may not be using the correct term, frontrunning is, i think, publicly taking a position one way on a stock and then acting the opposite. in tokyo joe's case, he is alleged to have been urging folks to short certain stocks and then bought when the price dipped; or that when he would urge buying, he would short. i think he admitted doing as much in the may or june issue of money magazine. in any event, he also claims he's not doing it anymore.

anyway, scarecrow is the tokyo joe expert on the thread and i would of course yield to his superior knowledge of the subject.
