Dell may be a runner, but it looks like they may tripped over a bump in the obstacle course. The Tennessean, the local Nashville newspaper, is reporting significant resistance to their pending move to Nashville. The locals are beginning to object to their city government giving away the keys to the treasury. Although I think it's a good move for Dell to move from Texas to Tennessee (I did so myself last year, the weather's so much better), the cost:benefit ratio to the local community is unacceptable, IMHO. It appears the City Council may veto the agreement. We'll know in about a month. The Tennessean has done a good investigative job reporting the pro's and con's, it's too bad there seems to be more con's as details of the move surface.
