RE: Affymetrix vs INCY

Sorry but I am not good at building concise, well thought out arguments. I tend to operate from gut feel instead. That's why I hoped to encourage some good discussion on this thread from some very rational people.

I've been in and out of QCOM since '92. I tend to be early but have no complaints since my current QCOM holdings are up about 12 1/2 times. Biotech is about to make great strides over the next 5 years and there are going to be some big winners there as well as in communications. Here is my origional post on INCY;

Early on QCOM was very out of favor and no one thought they would prevail. INCY is currently very out of favor judging by the stock price over the past year. Yes, INCY has a lawsuit against them but some feel that INCY will prevail. See INCY thread starting about #900. The judge ruled against AFFY on the preliminary injunction. I have been buying under $20 over the past 6 months to build a position.

Further thought can be found at the following posting. (There are some very knowledgeable people here on SI such as Peter Sussman, Vector1 (an investment banker from LA) and Dave "Rocketman" a former key employee at INCY.)

Maybe we can spark some thought provoking discussion from non-biotech investors and peak their interests as well.
