Pat,

I need some help. I thought the RBOC JPC committee made a decision
in favor of Alcatel? If so, why is Bell South/Ameritech working
with IBM (not that this is bad)? You would think that the BA
announcement would be awarded to Alcatel...otherwise the JPC seems
to lack any "decision clout".

Second crazy question. With so many CAP/DMT solutions becoming
available, do you ever wish that Amati should have accepted an
earlier "buyout"? The ADSL landscape is getting quite thick.
