Golf Rounds.com Has U.S. Open Coverage on Lycos
BEDMINSTER, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 18, 1999--Golf Rounds.com (OTCBB:AMTS - news), which is the dedicated online golfing magazine on Lycos, is co-developing the U.S. Open website Special Feature in cooperation with Lycos and the USGA currently found at golfrounds.lycos.com golfrounds.lycos.com
Lycos, Inc. (LCOS) reached an agreement with the U.S. Golf Association to host and serve the official Web site of the 1999 U.S. Open Tournament, to be played from June 17 to June 20 at the Pinehurst Country Club, Pinehurst, N.C.
Golf Rounds.com will be offering constantly updated information for news, live leaderboard, and pairings and tee-times directly from the Unisys/USGA feed, which will be available during the full four days of play. Golf Rounds.com also will have a very in-depth background on the History of the U.S. Open, and a 100-page library of Past Champions built in cooperation with the U.S. Golf Association.
In a press release Wednesday, Lycos also said it agreed to host and serve the official website of the 1999 U.S. Senior Open, to be played from July 8 to July 11 at the Des Moines Golf & Country Club, Des Moines, Iowa. |
