Re: Catholic

Exactly...A sect. Christian religion.
Both of these are things I am not a part of. I am a Christian by Faith and belief in what the Bible says. If you will check any reputable dictionary, you will find that religion is (paraphrased) a MAN MADE set of rules on how to worship a diety. Who do these mortal men think they are to tell other people how to worship? In the context of this definition, theoretically, a group of people could choose a coke bottle as their god, make up a set of rules on how to worship it, and, voila, they have a religion. Sounds silly but, that is what has happened over the centuries. Men have chosen to convert the simple rules, set forth in the Bible, on how to worship the one true God (IMHO). How dare they? And the Catholic church is one of the most guilty of the bunch. Yes, they are the largest in numbers but, look at why. The bulk of their members are the poor Hispanics and other disadvantaged groups while, those in the vatican wallow in gold, fine art, palacial acommodations. The hierarchy of the church is chosen by election of their peers, bishops, cardinals, etc. which, in reality, makes them politicians. I prefer to worship according to the laws of the Bible and don't require any mortal help to do so. Everything a person needs to know, is in the Book.
