I called, and Fido refused to release short profits from a special short account they set up to tie up my short dollars. Fido rep. told me that is what all stock brokers do, WRONG! Closed the account and went on to Schwab, then Datek and now have all 3 Just found out and started using Fido's FOX, have not tried but I assume I can short using it. sure is a nice day Michael
