>>>What if it was changed to "Trade at Datek" ?<<<

It is already a banner ad and it is already bombarding me on every page I view. Changing it to "Trade at Datek" would not be a step in the right direction. Doing what we were told last year (having the ability to turn it off) would be.

Brad I don't really feel that you and Jeff deserted us, what I think really happened is that you don't have the say you used to have pertaining to incidents like this. I think SI has up to this time been run in a very professional way but when the big boys start taking back the things we were led to believe were true is the start of turning your members against you. The best thing I could go for to placate the big boys would be a vote by the paying members on whether SI should have to keep their past promises to people that bought a membership with the understanding they wouldn't be bombarded with a solicitation. If 51% of the people that decided to vote say they don't care if they are bombarded with an ad for datek on every page they view then I would shut up even though I still wouldn't like it.

One more small thing, I saw where someone said they paid $200 dollars for a lifetime membership but at the same time I have seen several people that have said their 6 month $60 membership was expiring and they wouldn't renew. The people that said their membership was expiring haven't quit posting and to the best of my knowledge they haven't paid for another 6 months. I was told by someone here at SI that you don't even try to collect any more money from people after the 6 month period and they are allowed to continue to be members. Is this true? I paid $75 (in 97 I think) for my lifetime membership and it doesn't strike me as fair to charge some people $200 and let others continue to post for 60. What is your policy regarding the 6 month members?

One more small thing, when a person buys a membership for purely commercial reasons and starts a thread to promote his business it seems to me that SI is drifting even more from it's roots. exchange2000.com

Ther are other small things but as usual I have prolly said too much already.

Until now I have always been 100% behind SI, on the whole you are doing a great job.
