**OT** re:The Stars deserved the win; it was a great series though and good for hockey.

With all due respect, no one deserves anything and it was awful for the game of hockey. I can handle a loss, no problem, but if you believed the NHL's explanation, you need to keep leaving cookies for Santa on christmas eve. I watch and study the game and let me tell you, not once in all the games I've witnessed and reviewed, was a foot in the crease ever intepreted under the possession article of the rule. The NHL was doomed when they decided to let players run the goalies and Colin Campbell's interpretation of the "head butt" as "part of the play" on Varada. The Sabres will be competitive and so will the Stars but don't ever think "They deserved it" cuts it.

I deserve an awful lot more than I have, but tough crap! The NHL lost an awful lot by not showing the courage to address the earlier situation as they did in the regular season. If they would have admitted to just rushing the decision, making an error, etc... I can handle that too. But you have know idea what that series did to owners around the league.

I give Campbell 3 months and he's promoted to some unheard of position. I give Bettman maybe 1 year until the owners decide to ax his ass for lack of financial support. The NHL took a major turn for the worse.
