Jules, finding this thread is like finding water
in the desert. Wow - the Intel thread has simply
gone berserk. Can you convince Paul E and Jack
Rains to post here?

Right now we seem to be seeing two phenomena. Since
intel went up a little too far and a little too fast
it was vulnerable. It's happened before and will
happen again. The two factors were the funds heading
for the exits when tech was not quite as hot an idea
as it had been 3 months ago and the momentum players
looking for the next hot thing and abandoning techs.
MSFT has held well but everything else has been beaten
up. Which brings us to a golden opportunity. Profits
will show substantial growth this year and by the end
of the year the switchover to .25 microns will allow
INTEL to have more capacity without building as many
new factories. It's hard for me to see INTC earning
$10.00 in 1998 and not selling for well north of $200
even possibly $250. That's my current take on this
bashing the techs are taking.

Best regards and sincere thanks for starting this,
Burt
