ten, I just assume since Intel has unlimited resources to throw at the Merced problem Intel plans to throw as much money resources and personell at the problem to solve it on time. After all it's mearly an issue of assigning more heads to the project and giving them enough time to come up with sucessfull solutions. Of coarse Intel found it unnecessary t do this to meet the original deadline which they are going to miss. After all AMD did it so why could'nt Intel do it. So if your right it makes you wonder what Intel was thinking about in the first place. My guess is the distraction from the anit-trust suit. Plus since you work for Intel and you say its comming out six months early, I'll have to beleive you in stead of the guys working on the project that are frustrated with their efforts to date.
Also, just because you find the message unpleasant doesn't mean you should kick the messenger. If you want to kick some ass I suggest you kick some meanfull ass, of someone who can do something about the problem. I understand Barretts ass is twice the size of mine, so statisticly, you'll have a higher probability getting the job done. Since you Intellabees always require proof I'll be happy to send you a picture of mine so you can compare it to his and draw your own conclusions. As a fringe benifit You can also pass this message around to the boys on the Merced project as a good will moral booster. Hell you may even get a promotion for boosting morale at a critical pahse in the chips design.
