truedog, I used American Heritage Dictionary, 3rd edition. In order to communicate, people need to agree on definitions of words. Statues can come in variant sizes, this one could be the size of a teakettle if that makes a difference. BTW, a statue of buddha is not by any stretch of the imagination 'secular'. "If using public money to put these up is an issue, I am sure there are many individuals that would be happy to pay for a few and hang them themselves."
