The US May Try to Impede Foreign Sites

If the Kyl Bill becomes law, the US may extend its clamp on Internet gambling beyond its national borders. Legislators will come under increased pressure to suppress the swelling Internet gaming business. The report by the NGISC recommends that the federal government should "take steps to encourage or enable foreign governments not to harbor Internet gambling organizations that prey on US citizens." The commission called for tough new laws to stymie the transfer of funds from US citizens to overseas gambling operators. Does this reek of imperialism?
