What he forgot to mention was:

1) Vicious boom-bust business cycles will replace the moderate ones of today as monetary options for solving recessions will be gone.
2) The resulting uncertainty will slow down growth.
3) Thus, precious metals and other intangibles with no material use will further soak up huge amounts of productive capital.
4) In short, the world will be a much better place.
