Chicago Pizza Appoints Ernest Klinger as President and Co-Chairman
MISSION VIEJO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 21, 1999--Chicago Pizza & Brewery Inc. (Nasdaq SmallCap: CHGO) Monday announced that Ernest Klinger had been appointed president and co-chairman of the board of the company.
The company also announced that Paul Motenko and Jeremiah Hennessey will serve as co-chief executive officers and shall serve with Klinger as co-chairmen of the board of directors.
Since 1983, Klinger has served as the chief financial officer of Arden Group, the parent corporation of Gelsons Supermarkets, a leading regional supermarket chain with annual revenues of $300 million. Klinger has served as a director of Chicago Pizza since 1997. In addition, Klinger has held management and finance positions with various private and public companies throughout his career.
Motenko stated that "We are very excited to have Ernie Klinger join our management team. We feel his depth of business experience as well as his familiarity with the company and its business will enable him to be an invaluable asset to the company in the future."
Chicago Pizza & Brewery operates 29 casual dining restaurants, some of which incorporate brewpubs.
