Scumbria,

<From a technical point of view, I have never seen DRDRAM on the motherboard of PIII systems as having much advantage over SDRAM, so my inclination is to say that the effects should be minimal. >

I share your thoughts.

<I don't feel qualified to comment on the financial impact however.>

What is your take on if Rambus is likely to be used with PIII before CuMine shows up?

Technically designing Rambus in with PIII would mean starting completely new, because my understanding is that all the OEMs were designing in Rambus on the CuMine boards and I have not heard of anyone doing so with PIII. Is it worth anyone's time to redesign a PIII motherboard to accomodate Rambus? (for this Christmas, of course).

I am looking for depth here so verbose commentary is appreciated.

Thanks,
Chuck
