Michelle, you amazingly managed to reply to my message without reading it. Let me make it clear for you: AT A CERTAIN DISTANCE, THE SHIPPING COSTS FOR HEAVY ITEMS ARE SO PROHIBATIVE THAT IT IS *PERFECTLY LOGICAL* TO HAVE A LOCAL FACTORY.

You will NEVER see housing bricks shipped across country. The weight and cost of shipping is utterly obscene. Building a local factory next to a quarry would allow you to undercut a "distribution center" that was only 200 miles away, no matter how fancy their website. Mattresses are usually made in each store, out on the loading docks. They only purchase the springs from the mother company, everything else- fabric, stuffing, is manufactured locally.
