correct on the first statement, incorrect on the second statement,

If the VIX is at a low and starts to move up that means that the mkt has started to sell off and we would use our basket of trusty tools to lets us anticipate a bottom in stock prices.

THE VIX can easily get up into the mid 30's during a stock mkt decline, and last summer we made it into the 40's and even low 50's
at the end of AUg and Oct. those were the highest levels we have seen since it's inception in 1993.
