Joel,

It just came to me that no analyst worth his or her salt would put an upgrade out on SONE. For if one really believes in the deal, one buys EDFY. When the upgrades do come out, it will be interesting to see to which stock they're applied. Isn't this supposed to be the end of the quiet period for the companies' (SONE & EDFY) investment bankers? They should have all their clients in by now, and the arbitrageurs should be in, too. Thus they could now issue upgrades. On the strength of such an event, when EDFY/SONE retest 12.5 and 40, I think they'll breakthrough. Of course, it is possible that downgrades could cause a downdraft (on the theory that the company is overvalued at a "practical P/E" of -- what was it -- about 70?). However, given all the publicly positive verbiage by analysts, columnists, and fund managers, that seems unlikely unless the analyst in question uncovers worse than known merger pains or some such things.

Comments?

Cheers, Tuck
